I'm stayin' in Bayview! Sister Mak and I will be crawlin' all over Scarborough and Agincourt for another six weeks! Yay! Not getting a transfer call was probably the best news I could have gotten since things really picked up this past week and it would just break my heart to leave all of our amazing investigators and members now.
This past week we found so many prepared people (or really, I should say had so many prepared people given to us) this week. We're teaching one of the Zone Leaders investigators now (they felt it would be better if she was taught by sisters) and she is amazing! She attended a baptismal service on Sunday and was just nodding her head in agreement the whole time, just loving the thought of following Christ. It made me happy :) And then, this week we were out about to go contacting and had to park our car. We left it in the usual parking lot, and as we were walking away I felt that we should go to this way far away neighborhood to park the car. We always parked the car in the parking lot we were in with no problems, so there was no apparent reason to move it, but we followed the prompting anyways. After we parked the car, we had to walk 10-15 minutes to get to where we were planning. Once we arrived, the first lady we contacted told us how she had only arrived from China a month before and how just before we stopped her she had been thinking about how she needed to find a religion. We shared with her about prayer and asked if we could say a prayer to bless her on her way. She surprised us by asking us if she could try. She proceeded to say her first prayer ever right there with us on the street. And then she came to church this Sunday. If we hadn't have moved the car, we would not have been in that spot, at that time, and probably would have missed her.
God is in this work. It is His work!
Love you all!
