Can someone do me a favor and stop time, because, wow. Way too fast.
Things were good this week. One of our investigators finally started progressing! It's nice to see things start picking up again, it's been a slow transfer as far as the work has been concerned. I'm starting to really wonder if I'll be here next transfer. The average sisters seem to stay in Bayview is four transfers, so that puts a good shot in for one more transfer here. But, on the other hand, if I leave that will give me three transfers here and three in where ever my (I would assume) last area is.
I feel like I might be leaving, but at the same time, I'm not sure how they would organize the companionships. So we'll see. If I do leave, I'll most likely be heading to London. We'll find out at the end of this week.
During my personal study, I came across a C.S. Lewis quote that I love. In it he is speaking from the Lord's point of view and says:
Give me all. I don't want so much of your time, so much of your talents, and so much of your work: I want You. All of you. I have not come to torment or frustrate the natural man, but to kill it. No half-measures will do. I don't want to only prune a branch here and another there; rather, I want the whole tree out. Hand it all over to me, the whole outfit, all of your desires, all of your wants and wishes and dreams. Turn them all over to me, give yourself to me and I will make of you a new self in my image. Give me yourself and in exchange I will give you Myself. My will, shall become your will. My heart, shall become your heart.
Christ expects us to hand ourselves over to Him 100%. Not just the bad parts, not just the parts we want to improve, but everything. The good, bad, and ugly. Every bit of it. And then, He will give us even better.
Hope you all have an amazing week! Love you all and hope you all see miracles!
