Or at least that must be what everyone thinks when they see us out in the pouring rain all day, every day! It's actually a lot of fun, and we usually end up laughing about how ridiculous we look. I enjoy it. The thing that cracks me up most of all is how people open the door for us, wish us with all their heart that we stay dry, and then don't let us in and close the door. Oh well. They lose more by leaving us in the rain than we do. Sad.
BUT! This week was awesome. On Monday our zone (or I should say, a good chunk of it) went out to an Asian buffet to celebrate my and another elder's birthday (his was yesterday). Then, that evening a member invited us and a recent convert over for dinner which turned out to be a surprise "birthday party" for me. Her 10 year-old daughter had gone to the local dollar store and pick out some gifts, including an answer to my prayers in the form of a sleep eye mask. I'd been really tired since the sun had been waking me up every morning at 5am. Now it can't. Ha! Take that sun! We had exchanges. I went to Oshawa where we had a lunch appointment at member's 9th birthday party (the parents wanted to casually introduce the missionaries to the kids' parents) and they fed us TONS of yummy German food since they are German and just recently moved here. It was delicious. We are teaching some awesome investigators, Danny and Guang Yao. I love them, I love all my investigators. Guang Yao will be the first investigator I've had who I'll have to help stop smoking. That's actually really strange since everyone and their dog smokes in Canada and in China everyone and their dog and their cat smokes. I'm actually really excited to help him quit! Yay Word of Wisdom! And then yesterday was Victoria Day and we got to watch fireworks that were set of literally right in front of our window. Pretty!
And so those are my thoughts for the week. Short, but sweet. Love you all!
