Mission Veil: n. the thing that makes you forget just about everything that has happened in the past while you are on your mission. Usually refers to life before the mission, but (as is the case here) can refer to most of the previous week as well.
So I'm having a hard time thinking up what happened this past week. I went to my mom's favorite resturant in Downtown Toronto on Monday with my companion. We ate ourselves sick. It was wonderful.
And then we taught lessons. And we tracted. And contacted. The like. It was good. I remember I was happy and laughed a lot this week. I'm just forgeting the details. Perhaps they'll come to me...
I remember a really pretty sunset and a gorgeous huge harvest moon. A nice view from the window of our apartment.
I just remembered why I can't remember anything! It's because I've been sick! Amid all the nose blowing I must have blown my memories out. I'm sure that's it! haha
But on Saturday the ward had a (rather belated) Chinese New Year party. Lots of yummy food. One of our investigators came and he really enjoyed it. His daughter who was recently baptized performed kung fu for everyone. It was adorable. Then Sister Conor got sick, so that took up the rest of the evening. I felt bad for her, but secrectly, I was grateful. It gave me time to rest just a bit and try to kick this cold that is almost, but not quite, gone.
Sunday was good. I read a scripture in Chinese in the Gospel Principles class. It shocked everyone. I was amuzed. Surprise! I can read and write in Chinese! haha fun stuff.
Sunday night I headed off to Oshawa for exchanges with Sister Arksey. She's awesome. I'm glad I got to meet her; she only has three weeks left on her mission. But that was a lot of fun. I learned LOADS. I really want to find ways to keep improving. There is always room for improvement, so yeah!
And so that was my week. It was good. I'm happy. And...yeah.
Take care!!!! Love ya all!
